The G305 is small, with an ambidextrous shape and a flatter design, whereas the G703 is right-handed ergonomic with a taller design and a large "hump" in the back. The biggest difference is actually the shape, so it would help if you gave your hand size and grip style (check the sticky thread for examples). However, the HERO is better for wireless mice in terms of battery efficiency, nothing more. The sensors, none is better than the other in performance. It really depends on the usage of course. I myself bought some 1$/4 in a pack Sony alkaline batteries (8g weight) that will last me months.
